Privacy Policy
OfficeXField is a development preview operated by Joshua Miller, an independent developer. This policy explains what information is collected and how it is used. Because this is a development preview and not a released product, you should assume any data you enter may be reset, migrated, or deleted at any time.
Information collected
When you register or use the app, the following information is stored in the application database:
- Account details you provide (name, email, phone, password hash).
- Organization, employee, and customer records you create in the app.
- Session cookies required to keep you signed in.
- Basic request metadata (IP address, user agent) for security and abuse prevention.
- Audit logs recording actions taken in the app (who did what, when).
How it’s used
- To operate the application and show you your own data.
- To secure the app (rate limiting, abuse detection, audit logs).
- To send transactional email you request (e.g., verification, password resets).
- To contact you about the project if you opt in.
What is not done
- Your data is not sold.
- Your data is not shared with advertisers.
- No advertising or tracking pixels are embedded.
- No third-party analytics of any kind are loaded on public pages at this time.
Third-party services
The app may use the following service providers to operate: infrastructure hosting (DigitalOcean), email delivery for transactional messages, and a Stripe integration for billing (currently test-mode; no real payments should be made in the preview). These providers process limited data on behalf of the application as needed to deliver functionality.
Cookies
The app uses essential cookies only: a signed session cookie to keep you logged in, a theme preference cookie, and (for admins only) an impersonation-session cookie used during tenant support. No advertising cookies are set.
Data retention & deletion
Because this is a development preview, data may be reset during schema migrations or when moving to a production launch. To request deletion of your account and associated data, email support@officexfield.com.
Security
Passwords are stored as salted bcrypt hashes. Sessions use signed, HTTP-only cookies. All traffic is served over HTTPS. That said, no system is perfect — please do not use real customer data you would not be comfortable losing during a development preview.
